About the Clean Energy Council

The Clean Energy Council (CEC) is the peak body for the clean energy industry in Australia. The CEC is a not-for-profit organisation that represents and works with Australia's leading renewable energy and energy storage businesses, as well as rooftop solar installers, to further the development of clean energy in Australia. 

Island Power is a CEC Approved Solar Retailer, we use CEC Accredited Designers & Installers for all installations, and we are committed to the CEC Code of Conduct. We are also a signatory to the CEC Best Practice Charter for Renewable Energy Developments for our major solar projects.

We use CEC Accredited Designers & Installers

CEC accreditation is mandatory for anyone designing or installing solar and battery storage systems. Island Power Co only uses CEC Accredited Designers and Installers and qualified electricians to install all systems. Find out more about CEC Accreditation:

We are a signatory to the CEC Best Practice Charter for Renewable Energy Developments

Island Power Co is a signatory to the CEC Best Practice Charter for Renewable Energy Developments. The Best Practice Charter for Renewable Energy Developments is a voluntary set of commitments for Clean Energy Council members designed to clearly communicate the standards that the signatories will uphold in the development of current and new clean energy projects.

The Charter outlines a commitment by signatories to engage respectfully with the communities in which they plan and operate projects, to be sensitive to environmental and cultural values and to make a positive contribution to the regions in which they operate. We use a CEC Approved Sale & Installation Contract

Island Power uses a solar installation contract that has been reviewed and approved by the CEC. Our Solar PV Sale and Installation Contract applies to the sale and installation of all small solar systems that we sell and install.

This legal agreement has been reviewed by the CEC for compliance with the Approved Solar Retailer program and it contains detailed information about the guarantees and warranties that we must provide to you, as well as detailed information about the other terms and conditions for the sale and installation of your system:
